My interest in beauty began early, watching my mother and grandmother paint their lips and eyes and coif their hair. Beauty was more than just a consideration, it was a part of everyday life, a time-honored ritual. My grandmother sent me to cosmetology school, and I immediately fell in love with hair, styling and the many ways I could bring more beauty in this world.
